Atlanta Guitar Building Class
Fall/Winter 2025 - limited seats available
$2500 Cost - Materials Included
Nine Finger Guitars is a guitar building workshop where you can build you own dream acoustic guitar. Located in Peachtree Corners, near i285 and 141.
This is a fully comprehensive class to build an acoustic guitar. Suitable for all. From beginners that have never done any kind of woodworking, to the masters of their craft. Each person is guaranteed to complete and take home their own personally customized instrument.
Originally started and ran in 2014, this class was tailored to accommodate the Monday-Friday working professionals that could not afford to dedicate the time to taking a class elsewhere.
No tools, materials, or prerequisites are required to sign up and complete this class. With around 150 guitars worth of wood on hand, and each person gets the opportunity to hand pick every single piece that goes into making their guitar. Special requests of materials that I don’t already have can be accommodated as well.
There is no class like this anywhere else. All materials are included and every single piece is personally hand picked by the individual. All of the required specialized lutherie tools and jigs are available to use and are included. Seats are limited to a maximum of only 4 individuals to ensure each person gets all of the required focus needed for success, while still incorporating the fun, collaborative, social environment.
Throughout some years, I had countless conversations with folks counting down the days to retire, or wishing that they could participate in a luthier school or guitar building program to begin their dream hobby. The result was creating an acoustic guitar building class spanning 6 weekends of roughly 10 hour days, requiring no disruption to the weekday grind.
After a successful run for a number of years, I ended this class due to a cross country move to Colorado. Just this year, we moved back to the Atlanta Metro area, and setup the new shop. The first class since setting back up will run this Fall/Winter, 2025.
